Marta (MSc)
My name is Marta, I’m from Spain and I’m a licensed psychologist. I hold a MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology and I am a doctoral student. I have over 4 years of clinical experience with patients of all ages (including those with neurologic conditions). I am an eclectic therapist and my motto is «I adapt to you». Eclecticism means I integrate techniques from different therapeutic approaches so that my methodology truly fits your individual needs, expectations and personal preferences. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (including Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic and Brief-Solution Focused Therapy. My specialties are issues related to anxiety, adaptations and coping, stress, burnout, obsessiveness, mood (feeling low, depressive, cycling…), family, health (habits, hormonal, sex life, surgery preparation, chronic conditions), panic attacks, parenting (including fertility and peripartum for both parents), phobias, relationships (social and romantic), sleep, cognition (forgetfulness, concentration, active aging) and neurodiversity (ADHD and Autism Spectrum). I also have experience treating difficult issues such as trauma, self-harming behaviors and suicidal ideation. I think some of my colleagues and the people who know me well would define me as “scientifically humanistic”. My n°1 priority is that the process is efficient in order to give you self-management autonomy. I hope we can work together soon on your well-being. I know well aware how hard it can be to move from contemplation to action when it comes to seeking mental health support. At your entire disposition,Marta Galán G-6665
